The First Technical Seminar of the LIFE RedBosquesclima project: Mature forests as a reference for adaptation to climate change was held on 30-31 March and 1 April 2022. The seminar was held thanks to the support of the Basque Government, a partner in the project, with the collaboration of the Provincial Council of Alava.
More than 50 professionals from nature conservation, the forestry sector and the scientific world took part in this first technical meeting of the project with the aim of making progress in the definition of general criteria that can guide measures for the adaptation of forests to climate change. In addition to the theoretical sessions and experiences shared in the different sessions, a visit was made to mature stands in the Izki Natural Park.
