With this headline, journalist Raúl Rejón opens an article in Diario.es in which he echoes the reflections and debates promoted by the LIFE RedBosques_Clima project, concerning the adaptation of forests to climate change, and by its predecessor, LIFE RedBosques, focused on the importance of mature forests and their role in conservation.

Mature forests can contribute to reduced rainfall, increased temperatures, and an increase in extreme phenomena such as forest fires. The article reflects on the relationship between forest maturity and the capacity to adapt to drought and the opportunity of natural solutions for its management and conservation, key issues addressed in the RedBosques_Clima project.
