Tool for assessing drought risk and vulnerability

This online application makes it possible to assess the drought risk of a forest at the stand level and compare the result with the risk in the plots of the National Forest Inventory (which would represent the ‘average’ forest) or the Reference Stand Network (consisting only of mature stands)

To do this, a quantitative index based on indicators of forest structure and functioning developed in this project is applied. The tool includes instructions for obtaining the indicators from sample plots.
