Dear friends;
On International Day of Forests we launch the sixth issue of the LIFE RedBosques_Clima project’s electronic newsletter, in which we report on the progress of the project, which is entering its final stages in the coming months. In this way, we join in the celebration of this event, promoted by the United Nations since 2012, with the aim of conveying to the public the importance of forests for our well-being.
In this issue, we summarise the conclusions of the last seminar held in Ports, the sixth and final webinar, focused on the Mediterranean area, and the three mobilities scheduled. You also have a summary of the three case studies, which are already well advanced. In the next issue of this newsletter, we hope to offer you all the details of the work carried out in the three cases.
We are also continuing to work on communicating the results of LIFE, both in national and international scientific and technical forums and to the general public. Just a few weeks ago we released a new informative video, ‘Knowledge and management for the adaptation of forests’, which you should not miss.
We are already working on the final stages of the project, in particular the training programme in which we hope to share everything we have learnt, and the production of a manual for the incorporation of climate change adaptation into the planning and management of our forests.
