The lack of economic profitability of many adaptation measures, along with difficulties in finding labor or a sufficient business network, are barriers to implementing these actions, especially in highly depopulated areas.
In this report, we analyze in detail the costs and returns of the adaptation measures carried out in the project, and we compare them with the results obtained in other similar LIFE forest adaptation projects, as well as with the costs of ordinary forestry practices.
