The RedBosques_Clima Adaptometer is a simple tool designed to qualitatively assess the risk of a specific forest to drought and major fires. It serves as a guide to identify the main aspects that contribute to greater exposure, vulnerability, or recovery capacity, and thus direct possible actions aimed at improving adaptation to climate change.

It can be used as a preliminary assessment to select forests where the quantitative index based on field measurements, which can be consulted at, can be subsequently applied.

Additionally, it is a communication tool, intended to facilitate an organized discussion on aspects of climate change vulnerability and different management alternatives with landowners and other stakeholders involved in forest conservation and management.
